MARKSVILLE, La. (KALB) - It was a “frightfully fun” night at the Paragon Casino Resort this weekend for this year’s Monster’s Ball, the biggest Halloween party in Cenla.

“I am a witch today because of her, but it fits me because I can be a witch at times,” said one attendee.

“I am a pirate because I just felt that way today. So, ahoy, matey!” said another participant.

The annual event attracts hundreds of people each year, all dressed to impress, or to scare!

“I do pink every year for breast cancer awareness,” said a woman dressed as a pink witch. “I had one of my sisters pass away. It’s been 15 to 20 years so I said this will be good, a breast cancer awareness witch.”

From zombies and witches to movie characters and mythical creatures, the costumes were as creative as ever.
