[DES MOINES, Iowa] — The Iowa Health and Human Services Department is allocating $5 million to enhance child care and preschool programs across the state. This funding is part of a second round of Continuum Care Grants, aimed at expanding child care and preschool opportunities throughout Iowa to provide full-day care for young children.

The grants, which can reach up to $300,000 over three years, will support the state's voluntary preschool program. Paige Chickering, Iowa State Manager for Save the Children Action Network, emphasized the significance of this initiative.
