Combine catches fire early Tuesdasy in Black Hawk County

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Firefighters responded to a combine fire early Tuesday at the intersection of Jepsen Road and Westbrook Road. Cedar Falls Fire Rescue says when crews arrived around 5 am, the combine was fully engulfed in flames, but they successfully extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Cedar Falls Public Safety received assistance from Black Hawk County Consolidated Dispatch, Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office, and MercyOne Hospital.
