SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Kendal Uttecht carries a 4.07 GPA, and she credits a lot of her success to her siblings.

“I have two sisters. My older sister, she is very driven. Everything she does, sports, school activities. She didn’t really push me, but we all kind of supported each other,” said Kendal.

She’s been a four-time state qualifier in both cross-country and track, she has more than a thousand career assists in volleyball, and she also plays basketball.

However, athletics are only a part of her extracurricular activities.

“I do student council. I’m the student council president. I do HOSA. I do the one-act play, oral interp, chorus. I was on the science quiz bowl team for two years,” said Kendal.
