If you’ve got questions about the city’s unprecedented $27.8 million purchase of three downtown properties, Doug Gilchrist has answers.

Kelowna’s city manager made the somewhat unusual offer Monday of responding directly to any questions or concerns people may have about the acquisition.

“If there’s any direct questions that citizens have regarding that transaction you can direct them to my office and I’ll be happy to answer them,” Gilchrist said in comments directed at Coun. Ron Cannan.

Cannan was the only council member who mentioned the city’s purchase of three properties, including the site of a failed high-rise hotel/condo building, at the corner of Queensway and Water Street.
