MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A criminal complaint filed in Dane County Court reveals new details about a September 27 police chase that left a Madison police officer with severe injuries and his K-9 partner hurt after a crash with a tow truck .

Christopher Brugger led police on a 5.8-mile chase through Madison and Monona before crashing into Madison Police Officer Ryan Kimberley’s squad car, according to the complaint.

Brugger appeared in court via video call Friday for his initial appearance . His bond was set at $200,000. He is scheduled to return to court on October 28.

Brugger faces 14 counts in Dane County Court, including 12 felonies and two misdemeanors.
