HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Early voting is now underway for the Nov. 4 elections, and there are several races and propositions on the ballot.

Voters have less than two weeks to cast their ballots early in the 2025 Special Constitutional Amendment and Local Entities Elections.

Both Hidalgo and Cameron County election administrators say they are modernizing the early voting process this election season. The goal is to make casting a ballot as easy and efficient as possible.

Remi Garza, the Cameron County Elections Administrator, says they are expecting about 10 to 12 percent of registered voters to vote early this year.

To help ease the process, the county is incorporating digital check-ins for the first time.
