MINNEAPOLIS — Police are searching for a group of suspects accused of attacking two men in the parking lot of a south Minneapolis church Sunday morning as mass was letting out. According to police, the assault happened outside of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Community. One of the victims was reportedly robbed of his wallet, and both men were taken to the hospital.

Church administrator Dennis Heaney confirmed both victims are employees of St. Joan of Arc.

The attack occurred approximately two miles north of Annunciation Catholic Church , something not lost on witness Jennifer Restrepo, who had just attended mass at St. Joan of Arc with her husband when she witnessed the attack.

“It was just so quick and so shocking,” Restrepo said.
