ZEELAND, Mich. — The City of Zeeland is exploring legalizing alcohol sales on Sundays after lifting its total alcohol ban nearly two decades ago.
“I feel like it'll do a lot of good things," said Mike Gritzmaker, co-owner of 'The Gritzmaker,' a restaurant and bar in downtown Zeeland. "It'll give the city a little more exposure, and it'll definitely bring more money to the downtown area.”
Gritzmaker said that he’s been in communication with the City of Zeeland to lift a ban on selling alcohol on Sunday.
A rule that's been in place since alcohol sales were completely banned, before 2008.
