Bombshell confessions and secret recordings have rocked the trial of a West Australian bikie accused of ordering a hit on an underworld rival.

David Pye, who is alleged to have paid a former soldier to shoot Rebels boss Nick Martin at the Kwinana Motorplex in 2020, was also allegedly caught on tape threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend after she had accused him of assault.

In a secretly recorded conversation played to the WA Supreme Court on Tuesday, a man alleged to be Pye was heard saying he had “warned her”.

“If you ever go to the police, you’re dead,” the voice was heard saying.

“It will be the last thing you ever do. If I get just five years, make the most of your life because it’s the last five years she’s ever going to have.
