Nottingham Forest have appointed Sean Dyche as their new head coach, just days after Ange Postecoglou's sacking.

The ex-Burnley and Everton manager has signed a contract until 2027, and becomes Forest's third boss of the season following on from Nuno Espirito Santo and Postecoglou .

After Nuno was given his marching orders in September, successor Posetcoglou lasted just 39 days in the job.

The former Tottenham Hotspur boss was dismissed immediately after Forest's 3-0 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday, having failed to win any of his eight games in charge.

And owner Evangelos Marinakis has moved quickly to find a replacement, turning to an experienced figure in Dyche .
