FREDERICK, Md. — The government shutdown is now in its third week and several businesses and counties across the DMV have announced initiatives to support federal workers. Now, the city of Frederick in Maryland announced its own support on Monday.
“Behind the political gridlock are families and neighbors who suddenly can’t count on a paycheck, small businesses waiting on payments that aren’t coming, and communities being asked to do more with less,” said Mayor Michael O’Connor.
