The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain. The alert for "heavy rain" covers the whole of Teesside, including Middlesbrough , Stockton , Redcar and Cleveland, Hartlepool and Darlington .

Teessiders are being warned to expect wet conditions from midnight to 9pm on Thursday, October 23. “Light rain” is expected in Middlesbrough from 3am until 6am.

The weather will then turn to “heavy rain” until 2pm. “Light rain” will then continue from 2pm until 7pm. And then a “light rain shower” for an hour 8pm until 9pm.

As well as rain, wind gusts are expected to peak at 35mph on Thursday afternoon. From 10am until midnight, the Met Office predicts that Teesside will have gusts from 30mph to 35mph until midnight.
