A capital commuter captured the moment officers stopped a motorcyclist on a busy stretch of road during rush hour.

Police Scotland say a 27-year-old man was arrested in connection with road traffic offences after they stopped a motorbike on Corstorphine Road at around 5.20pm on Monday October 20.

They say enquiries remain ongoing into the incident. In an image shared with Edinburgh Live, several police officers in high-vis jackets could be seen standing around a motorcycle which was propped against a wall on the opposite side of the road from the Chinese Embassy.

An eye witness passing at the time said: "I was on the bus coming back from work and saw the blue flashing lights in the distance.
