Portion of EB I-24 shutdown due to crash in southern Illinois

METROPOLIS, Ill. (WSIL) -- A serious crash on Interstate 24 eastbound has shutdown a portion of I-24 south of Rosebud Road near milepost 32.

Illinois State Police alerted the public about the incident at 6:07 a.m. on October 21.

Illinois State Police have closed I-24 eastbound from Illinois Route 146 at milepost 15 to U.S. Route 45.

Travelers are advised to seek alternate routes.
