On Oct. 26, 138 members of Fargo Moorhead Youth Symphony Orchestras will trumpet onstage at Concordia Memorial Auditorium and regale audiences with a classical music concert featuring some of history’s most epic stories and a few dinosaurs, too.
Featuring FMAYS’ three orchestras, Concert Strings for grades 6-8, Attacca Strings for grades 9-12 and the Symphony Orchestra for grades 9-12, this year’s concert features a wild ride of favorite pieces ranging from Mozart to John Williams’ “Jurassic Park.”
“It’s intense. Wildly intense,” FMAYS Symphony Orchestra Director Brad Lambrecht said. “It marks the first big concert for many of the kids. They get a taste of what it’s like to perform as a film studio orchestra, and many are getting on a big stage for the first time.”
