DALLAS — As the future of Dallas' iconic City Hall is up for discussion at a Dallas City Council finance committee meeting on Tuesday, briefing materials estimate renovating the landmark building could cost up to $345 million.

After Dallas City Council member Chad West recently estimated the City Hall building at 1500 Marilla Street Downtown needed as much as $100 million in repairs, briefing materials posted by the city estimate renovating the building could cost $152 million at minimum and up to $345 million, including up to $145 million for garage repairs and up to $100 million for water infiltration. The briefing materials also say that "identifying available funding will be challenging."
