A New Hampshire man is facing an attempted murder charge after authorities say he stabbed another person in Maine on Monday afternoon.

Around 2 p.m., deputies from the York County Sheriff's Office said they were called to West Lebanon Road in Lebanon for a reported disturbance. While they were on their way, deputies were informed that there had been a stabbing at a residence and the 52-year-old victim left the home seeking medical attention.

A sheriff's deputy found the victim on Carl Broggi Highway and called rescue units to the scene. The victim had suffered seven stab wounds to the chest, face, back and head. He was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland due to the seriousness of his injuries.
