PHOENIX — A woman was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after a pedestrian crash in Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the woman was hit by a car near 24th Street and McDowell Road around 4:45 a.m.
Emergency crews from Phoenix Fire arrived on scene after the incident and took the woman to the hospital with serious injuries. The identity or current condition of the woman wasn't immediately known.
Police said an initial investigation revealed the woman was allegedly lying in the roadway when she was hit. Detectives continue to investigate what led up to the incident.
