The Town of Tillsonburg will experience significant growth over the next three decades, according to a recently published forecast.

Members of the firm Bradley Post, Watson & Associates gave town council an update recently on its County Growth Forecasts and Land Needs Analysis that has been presented to all towns within Oxford County.

It paints a picture of a rapidly expanding community that will require up to 613 acres of development-ready land to support that growth in the next 55 years.

“Within Tillsonburg, there’s already a shortfall of commercial lands to accommodate the existing population base, and with the additional growth, we’ll need more lands to accommodate residential and commercial uses,” said Jamie Cook, a member of the firm.
