SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — City officials and residents of the Highlands Community came together on Monday evening to discuss development plans for the Highlands Park.

During the meeting hosted by the City of Savannah at Godley Station School, the community turned out to share ideas and give feedback on what they want to see in the recreation space. Here, neighbors presented two design proposals to city planners of what they would like to see made in their community, including amenities and accessibility.

The proposed 33.3-acre public space would become Savannah's fourth-largest park and it would be located at 137 Shellbark Way.

City leaders said they will use the feedback from Monday's session and use it to create a plan that serves everyone who lives there, not just children.
