WATERTOWN, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The Bramble Park Zoo in Watertown will say goodbye to its resident tiger as she relocates to another zoo.

Ursula, the zoo’s Amur tiger, will be relocated to another zoo due to her advanced age.

According to Bramble Park, this transition will allow them to move forward with improvements to benefit other carnivores in the zoo.

The Bramble Park Zoo was denied reaccreditation by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums last year because many habitats needed upgrades, including in the carnivore areas.

According to the zoo, Ursula’s relocation will be necessary before new renovations and improvements begin.
