CINCINNATI —

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear and Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine highlighted bipartisan cooperation during a unique "fireside chat."

The focus was politics, policy and people.

The discussion was called “Across the River and Across the Aisle." It was held Tuesday at the University of Cincinnati, moderated by former U.S. Sen. Rob Portman.

The conversation touched on national political division. The two governors donned each other's party's colors in their ties.

One of the big examples they used for putting people over politics was the 8-mile Brent Spence Bridge Corridor, which links the two governors' states.
