NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Detectives in North Charleston arrested two people following an investigation into the alleged sexual assault and attempted prostitution of a juvenile.
Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to N. Atlantic Avenue on Sept. 26, where a missing juvenile was found.
According to the agency, the juvenile told responding officers that she had run away and was sleeping outside near a fast food restaurant on Rivers Avenue when she was approached by a woman who offered her shelter at an area motel.
The girl explained to officers that she was sexually assaulted at that motel by a man while a woman encouraged the assault, according to information provided by NCPD.
Following an investigation into the assault, detectives arrested 48-year-old Re
