TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Drexel Heights Fire District responded to reports of a structure fire on the southwest side of Tucson.

DHFD said multiple callers reported a house on fire near Bopp Road and Deaver Road in the morning of Oct. 21.

Engine 421 reported seeing flames and smoke which from the station. Once the crews arrived, they found a single-story house, that was under renovation, with heavy smoke coming out from the structure, DHFD said.

Firefighters conducted a defensive attack due to the heavy weight load on the roof. Part of the rear roof collapsed as the crews battled the fire.

DHFD said no injuries were reported in the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
