A Saugerties man was arrested twice within a twelve-day span in October on separate misdemeanor charges, according to the Saugerties police department.
John A. Yonnetti, 54, was first taken into custody on October 7, following an incident on Partition Street in the Village of Saugerties. Police charged him with menacing in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, both misdemeanors under New York State law. Authorities said the arrest followed a report involving threatening behavior, which led to Yonnetti being processed at police headquarters. He was later released on an appearance ticket and directed to appear in village court.
