FARGO — North Dakota State has traveled over 4,200 miles by air for away games at The Citadel, Tennessee State, Illinois State and Indiana State. This weekend, the rubber hits the road, literally and figuratively.
That’s a reference to a matchup of the No. 1-ranked FCS Bison vs. No. 2 South Dakota State at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. It will be the first trip by bus for NDSU in a Dakota Marker game where the Bison have won 11 times and SDSU 10 since the trophy started in 2004.
“The average score is 24-20 in those games, so this will be an absolute dogfight,” said Bison head coach Tim Polasek. “It’s one of those deals where you can take all those numbers and stats and we can do this.”
