HORICON, Wis. -- A Hustisford man was arrested Sunday night for arson after allegedly setting a fire at a Horicon bar that forced people to climb onto a rooftop to escape.
Multiple fire departments and the Dodge County Sheriff's Office were called to the bar in the 300 block of East Lake Street, near the intersection with North Vine Street, just after 9 p.m.
According to Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt, the bar was open when the fire broke out and their were patrons inside. Tenants above the bar reportedly had to escape to the roof and became trapped, because they could not use the stairs due to the fire.
The fire was eventually put out and everyone was safely evacuated.
