FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The man who died in a crash near Kerman after running a stop sign was identified by the Fresno County Coroner's Office on Tuesday.

According to CHP, on Monday evening, they responded to a two-vehicle crash on Butte Avenue and American Avenue.

Officers arrived to find a man who had collapsed. He was airlifted to a local hospital, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.

The man was named by the coroner as 30-year-old Cesar Ochoa of Kerman.

Investigators reported Ochoa was headed south on Butte Avenue, which is controlled by a stop sign at the intersection with American Avenue. Ochoa reportedly ran the stop sign and collided into a car headed west on American Avenue.
