AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Amarillo Crime Stoppers continues to lead the way in a number of statistics.

It was recently recognized for having the most cases cleared and greatest dollar recovery amount of any Texas branch in its population category for 2024.

With tips received last year, it cleared nearly 250 cases and recovered over $680,000 worth of property.

Amarillo Crime Stoppers coordinator Scott Welling credits its recent success to the structure of the Crime Stoppers program and the selflessness of the community.
