AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The third and final defendant in a federal drug case involving three women appeared in federal court yesterday.
Noemi Paola Salazar, 21, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Salazar was arrested in April as part of a multi-agency operation involving the Drug Enforcement Administration Amarillo Resident Office, Potter County Sheriff’s Office Special Operation Division, and Amarillo Police Department PACE unit.
Officers saw Salazar meet with two women at a convenience store on Southeast 34th Ave and exchange a white bag for a small black bag.
After the exchange, Salazar left the convenience store in a silver Toyota Camry. Officers followed and conducted a traffic stop when they saw her fail to stop at a stop sign.
