NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - An emergency mental health facility for children is preparing to open in Nashville.
Mental Health Cooperative will be offering psychiatric services to kids in the Midstate, which CEO Michelle Schafer says is an important step.
“Its a great day, more importantly, for the children and families of Middle Tennessee and quite frankly the state of Tennessee,” Schafer said.
The grant-funded facility has state-of-the-art technology and equipment. Among the notable features include private bedrooms, anti-barricade doors and collaborative work spaces.
It has resources state leaders believe will able to put to good use.
