LUBBOCK, Texas -- One of the biggest questions in agriculture today is: How do we connect the next generation to the industry? The FiberMax Center for Discovery has been working on the answer for nearly a decade.
Now, they’re nearing completion of a brand-new Children’s Agriculture Literacy Wing, an interactive space designed to teach kids where their food and fiber come from. In addition, it helps them discover the career paths they can explore in ag.
“Even here in West Texas, we’re getting further removed from the farm,” says Executive Director Lacee Hoelting. “This is our way of giving back to the industry.”
