PARKER, Colo. (KKTV) - The Parker Police Department (PPD) said a 32-year-old suspect was killed in an officer-involved shooting on Monday.

PPD said officers responded to a report of gunshots in the area of Jordan and Main Street around 10:20 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival, police said shell casings and live ammunition were found in the parking lot of the T Square gas station at 17050 East Main Street.

Police said they contacted an employee of the gas station, who they believed was a witness to the initial investigation.

While officers were speaking with the employee, police said he began to get angry with officers, acted irrationally and lifted his sweatshirt several times, showing a gun that was tucked in his waistband.
