Frederick offers food and support to those affected by government shutdown

Dozens of people lined up at the Trinity Recreation Center Tuesday afternoon for free food and flu shots provided by the city of Frederick meant to aid federal workers and those affected by the government shutdown.

The federal government shutdown was in its 21st day Tuesday. Many of those attending had not received a paycheck or other benefit payment since the shutdown began.
