HAMDEN, Conn. — A handful of people rallied outside the Hamden Police Department Tuesday following the ICE arrest at a local carwash.

Calls to protect the immigrant community in Hamden were loud Tuesday night.

Some people like Alescia, who’s in fifth grade, attended the rally to speak up for those who feel voiceless.

"I just thought it was really unfair; I don’t think anybody should be taken from their home,” she said.
