MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A pregnant Mesa woman is seeking legal help after her fiancé was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents during a weekend raid, despite her claims that he was in the country legally.

Marion Ramirez said her fiancé, Michael Albronoz, was stopped by ICE agents last Saturday while making a delivery for DoorDash near Power Road and Elliot. The couple had recently moved in together and is expecting a baby in December.

“We do have a lot of criminal activity happening - why aren’t you going after them? Why are you targeting people that are trying to make a better life for themselves?” Ramirez said.
