When Tré Williams was asked to compare the No. 25 Michigan football team’s upcoming game with Michigan State to his previous rivalry games at Clemson, the graduate defensive lineman first took the opportunity to prove he’s educated himself on the spectacle.
“I would say this one’s been going on longer, 1898 I think was the first game,” Williams said Tuesday.
But after a brief brainstorm, Williams struggled to find any real differences between them.
“And just, it’s not really too much different,” Williams said. “But the only difference is, like, I don’t know. I wouldn’t say it’s a difference. It’s no difference.”
Williams’ mix of unfamiliarity and comfort is unique among the Wolverines. A day before, Michigan coach Sherrone Moore stressed how this week is not like any of the rest. A few
