APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - Several Appleton organizations, joining Lights on Afterschool, highlighting the critical role of after school programs for students.

Studies show three out of four kids are missing out on important life and work skills, often learned through extracurriculars.

In an effort to celebrate the success of after school programs already in place, and to encourage more students to take part, the city is hosting three days of events at each of the district’s extended day learning program locations.
