HARRISON, Wis. (WBAY) - A brand new inclusive, natural play space is now open in the village of Harrison.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday for the first of its kind for the village. The park features stone steps, climbing logs, monkey bars, net climbers, slides, and more.

The land was purchased from local farmers, back in 2020.

When told that the property would be developed, the village president says the family’s only stipulation, was that a park be included in those plans, with a name that would help honor the land’s history.

“Part of the family selling the land was to agree to have a park here and named in the honor of their family for the decades that they owned this land,” said Village of Harrison President Scott Handschke.
