CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — WCNC Charlotte has chosen to use these mugshots because of the nature of the alleged crime.
A man's death has been labeled a homicide after investigators suspected foul play when he wasn't present at his home for a welfare check.
Deputies conducted a welfare check at a home on Swinging Bridge Road on Tuesday, according to the the Catawba County Sheriff's Office. David Mize, the homeowner, was not found but deputies suspected foul play.
Mize was later found dead in Caldwell County. Officials did not specify where Mize was located or how he was killed.
Investigators have labeled Mize's death a homicide.
On Wednesday, the sheriff's office announced two suspects were arrested in connection with Mize's death. 31-year-old Cecil Ray Traylor and 35-year-old Tara Melinda
