QUINCY (WGEM) - The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program aims to help spread some holiday joy to local families in need.
The program provides gifts and necessities to children 18 years old or younger, and seniors 60 and older.
“That way these kids and seniors have a gift under the tree Christmas morning,” said Heather Martin, The Salvation Army development assistant.
Angel tags will be available at various locations around Quincy, including Nutrition HQ and First Mid Bank’s downtown location.
They start being printed by the end of this month and are expected to be up within the first week of November.
“You can adopt an angel yourself by pulling that tag off the tree,” added Martin. “You can pick whether it’s a little boy, girl, or senior, and shop specifically for that individual.”
