QUINCY (WGEM) - College students across the country are recognizing National Transfer Student Week.
John Wood Community College is doing what they can to help raise student awareness about what is important during the college transfer process.
About half of JWCC students transfer to four-year universities to continue their education.
“Students that are thinking about transferring should do the work, they should do the research, they should make connections, don’t assume that you know about schools,” said Kristen Ritterbusch, the JWCC Director of Pathways. “There are a lot of schools and opportunities that they may not be aware of and so we want to help them get all the information they can so they can make an informed decision that will be really successful for them.”
