A cold front has crossed the Philadelphia region and our weather Wednesday morning will include some lingering showers and patchy fog, especially northwest of the city.

This will clear out quickly thanks to a northwest breeze.

Later Wednesday, expect sunshine and more breezy conditions, with gusts up to 30 mph. Temperatures will be noticeably cooler with highs only into the low to mid-60s, slightly cooler than usual for this time of year.

Another weak cold front moves through late Thursday with only a few spotty showers before high pressure returns Friday, bringing sunshine and cooler, calmer weather into the weekend.

The coldest air of the season will drape over the Delaware Valley with lows in the city near 40 degrees by the end of the week, with widespread mid-low 30s in the burbs.
