CLEVELAND — Cleveland State President Dr. Laura Bloomberg addressed the campus Tuesday afternoon during her annual State of the University speech, but made no mention of the growing controversy surrounding the school's decision to hand over its student-run radio station, WCSB 89.3 FM, to Ideastream Public Media.

The move, announced earlier this month , has sparked backlash from students and community members, leading to multiple protests and a unanimous emergency resolution from Cleveland City Council calling on CSU to restore student access and control of the station.

As Bloomberg took the stage at the packed student center, a student in the back silently raised a sign that read, "89.3 belongs to the students and community! Give it back."
