Emergency services have issued updates after a Coventry smash that left a car on its roof saw two people taken to hospital. Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to Shilton Lane early on Saturday morning.

An incident involving two cars closed the section of the road near Lentons Lane Cemetery for several hours. According to West Midlands Fire and Rescue two people from each car managed to get themselves out of the cars before help arrived.

West Midlands Ambulance Service have confirmed two people were treated at the scene before being ferried to the nearest hospital. Thankfully it seems no one was seriously hurt. Police confirmed there were no arrests made and the incident is not being investigated.
