Stefan Dennis has revealed that he made a request to show bosses amid his unexpected withdrawal from Strictly Come Dancing.

The Neighbours legend's journey on the hit dance show got off to a solid start alongside his professional dance partner, reigning champion Dianne Buswell.

But Stefan was recently struck by illness, which forced them to miss week three of the BBC One dance contest earlier this month, before they made a triumphant return to the ballroom on Saturday (October 18) night.

The pair were seen giving it their all during a Charleston to Dance Monkey by Tones And I, which many judges said was the pair’s best dance.
