A busy Glasgow motorway is closed after a lorry burst into flames.

All traffic is currently being held on the M80 northbound at junction one in the east end due to a lorry fire, which started around 9.10am on Wednesday.

Vehicles cannot pass the burning lorry on the M80, with traffic backing up onto the M8.

Drivers cannot currently access the M80 from its junction with the M8 at junction 13.

In a statement shared to social media, Traffic Scotland said: “All traffic is currently being held Northbound due to a lorry fire.

“No traffic can currently access the M80 from the M8 at J13.”
