A Renfrewshire teacher has been struck off after having a secret sexual relationship with a teenage girl.
Joanne Munro was working at St David's Primary in Johnstone when she started a "close, personal, intimate friendship" with a vulnerable 16-year-old she met at a Girl Guides camp in August 2011, reports Renfrewshire Live.
The disgraced teacher gave the youngster booze and told her to keep the relationship a secret. She was admitted to a string of allegations set forth by the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), which regulates the profession.
Munro accepted her fitness to teach was impaired and that she was unfit to teach . The shamed teacher also accepted her actions were 'sexually motivated'.
