NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — A Middletown couple who died in a Dartmouth highway plane crash on October 13 will be laid to rest in Newport Wednesday morning.

Thomas and Agatha Perkins died from injuries sustained in the crash near exit 19 on I-195 in Dartmouth last week.

Their small plane had just taken off from New Bedford Regional Airport, bound for Wisconsin.

The joint funeral service will be held at O’Neill Hayes Funeral Home in Newport this morning.

It will be followed by a private burial.

The crash remains under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board.
